Whining about food. Whining about coworkers.
I was raised not to complain about food. I don't, unless there is something very wrong about it (flies in the carafe of wine, etc.) I work with people who will go through an entire box of chocolates, punching the bottoms in search of the 2 pieces in a box of 45 that they have any liking for, and throw out the rest. Waste like that I have never considered.

Today I was treated to at least 90 minutes of stories about coworker Mike. Yes, Mike keeps very odd hours, coming in today at...2.35 PM? But I'm not his supervisor. If his supervisor doesn't care, and it's been tolerated for 20 years, he obviously has dirt on someone and can do what pleases him...but I still had to listen to the same tired round of past Mike misadventures from assorted people dredged up from the last 15-20 years. Maybe it's the rumor that Mike is about to be THEIR supervisor...but how would he do that? He's never there much, and when he is, he's on the phone with his wife?

I had/have a co-worker like that. Whatever hours she wanted she could get away with. It turned out she was sleeping with the owner of the place. Go figure?

Maybe Mike is doing that, too.
