Dark Mirage's Journal If you treat kitty well, feed her good food, talk to her, keep her in fresh litter, she will treat you well in return. People are not like that. Treat people well, generously even, and you never know what kind of fecal matter will be slung back at you. About all you can do is be amused by such irrational conduct, and have a nice talk about it with kitty. There even seems to be an inverse relationship between how well people will treat you: the more you do, the more they expect, and the bigger whoppers they tell about you. Fortunately, 30+ years of keeping scientific notebooks and 7 years in the divorce courts of New York state have taught me to document well. Liars can lie, but the can also be exposed and chased back into the snake holes they emerged from. The part I am never sure of is whether they are psychotic or naive. A cat will never lie to you, unlike a dog. Dogs have been around humans too long: dogs are prevaricators by nature, fawning over the perceived pack leader. Cats? If they don't like you, they'll just avoid you. They take care of themselves. |
